Director and photographer, Anne Karr was born on the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She began his career photographing people and behaviors in the counterculture and music scene in São Paulo. Her work was exhibited in “Jamaica, Jamaica”, conceived by the Cité de La Musique – Philharmonie de Paris curated by Sébastien Carayol and “Relíquias do Funk” was exhibited at Museu do Amanhã. She was also published in the book “Sob Frequência” - Photography and image research for Soundsystem culture, “MESA - working with some of the most talented professionals of our time” and “Todos os Gêneros” by Itaú Cultural, in addition to having her works published by vehicles such as Netflix, GQ, Harpers Bazaar, ZUPI, Hypeness and Billboard.
As a director, she signed global campaigns for brands such as the Italian Arnette, AVON, Google and Converse, being the first director in history
to sign a project on Brazilian Funk for Google Art's & Culture through the Kondzilla institute, she also signed national campaigns for Azul Linhas Aéreas, TIM, Grandene (Ipanema), Liebe and original projects such as “Peixe Elétrico”, fashion film for the brand Calma from SP.
Passionate about music, she is always photographing the music scene and artists from the scene at national festivals between stages, sets and backstage. In 2022, she joined the official team covering the stages of Rock in Rio Lisboa.
Alongside director Julia Hannud, she shot the photo for the documentaries “E o preconceito meu filho?” which sensitively follows the journey of 4 people diagnosed with HIV and “Cercereiras” who observes a women's prison in the state of São Paulo from the point of view of prison officers.
